On the Road with Volkswagen
I recently had the opportunity to spend a few weeks on the road with Volkswagen. The first stage of the journey took place outside Sault St. Marie in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

At a remote winter testing facility we would be filming the new Volkswagen MK8 Golf R along with the all electric ID4.

Remotely controlling the Red camera and Angenieux Lens from the warmth and comfort of the Volkswagen Atlas. The Ronin Pro and Kessler Killshock system performed admirably in the cold.

Both cars would be piloted by Tanner Foust. Always, able to push any car to it’s limit and right where it needs to be to get the perfect shot.

The next stage of the trip would take us south. Following the ID4 as the VW team took it across the country.

The ID4 is able to charge from near zero percent to eighty in under twenty minutes. Making it surprisingly suitable to traversing the continent…provided you plot your route accordingly.

From Nashville we passed through Atlanta, then headed to the Atlantic coast by way of Savannah.

Tybee Island is a must for anyone passing through.
